Creating and implementing effective solutions for economic growth, Croulet and Associates (C&A) works by building inclusive financial systems, promoting entrepreneurship through small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), and encouraging the development of favorable enabling environments for investment.  Most work is done in emerging market, developing countries. 

In the U.S., C&A facilitates commercial real estate investments and acquisitions through transaction arrangements on behalf of investors. 

C&A has worked in 58 countries around the world as well as having been to all 50 U.S. states: Sub Saharan Africa, the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, Eastern Europe, and North and South America

C&A offers services in the following areas:

• Entrepreneurship development, especially for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) through training and  business development services (BDS)

• Building inclusive financial systems, or microfinance; reinforcing institutional capacity to offer and provide quality financial services particularly for the poor; integration of such institutions into formal financial sectors 

• Governance: facilitating the greater effectiveness and decentralization of governments through effective development of local government and governing board capabilities. 

• Commercial real estate: facilitating transactions mostly in the U.S. on behalf of investors looking for higher but secure rates of return on their investments.  Investments usually targeting multi family units and apartments in emerging U.S. markets.

What's New?

Since September 2011, C. Ross Croulet of C&A was confirmed as the Chief of Party/ Director of the USAID-funded "Leveraging Effective Application of Direct Investments", or LEAD, Program in Haiti.  Mr. Croulet is employed by the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), which is affiliated with the Organization of American States (OAS), both headquartered in Washington, DC.  The purpose of LEAD is to enhance the capability of Haitian small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) to increase their capacity to grow, improve their management capabilities, and ultimately create more than 13,000 jobs over the four-year program life span.
